Practice Information

Piranhas Families,

Registration:

Registration is still OPEN. If you haven’t registered yet, please do so online via Piranhasrule.com and submit the following documents to our president:

One signed copy of the: Liability Waiver, Concussion Waiver, & Residency FORM Acknowledgement
Copy of your utility bill (water, gas, or electric bill) to verify residency
Owner/Tenant Agreement (ONLY if you you are renting your current residence) Owner Tenant Agreement

Please note that all swimmers must be 5 years old by June 1st, 2024 and able to swim the WIDTH of the pool unassisted.

Season Start:

Swim practice starts on Monday, May 20th at the Cunningham HOA Pool. Practices will run Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The coaches will call each group to the grass to introduce themselves and learn the kids names on the first day prior to hopping in the pool.

Practice Times:

5-6 Years: 3:30pm to 4:00pm

7-8 Years: 4:00pm to 4:45pm

9-10 Years: 4:45pm to 5:30 pm

11-12 Years: 5:30pm - 6:30 pm

13 Years and Up: 5:30pm - 6:30pm

Needed for Practice:

Your swimmer MUST have:

Goggles
Swim Cap (any color) for swimmers that have hair long enough to cover their eyes
Towel

Recommended for ages 7 & Up:

Soft FINS (Links Below)

FINS Recommended for ages 7+:

We recommend that swimmers ages 7 and Up bring training fins to every practice. Your fins must be soft to avoid injury to other swimmers. Unfortunately, if your child has hard fins, they will not be able to use them at practice. If you are unable to purchase fins, don’t want to use them, or forget them one practice, DON’T worry. Our coaching staff is prepared to modify each training exercise for those who don't have fins. We have also purchased a few fins in each size that we can loan swimmers - thanks to our “Finraiser” last year. : )

Swimsuits for Practice:

Your swimmer may wear any swimsuit or swim trunks from home to practices. It is our preference that girls/ladies wear a one piece swimsuit for practice. Also, please make sure that boys/gentlemen do not have any large cargo pockets on their swim trunks/hybrid shorts as they may inhibit their ability to swim.

Swimsuits for Swim Meets:

If you already ordered your swimsuit through Conejo Swimworks, fantastic! Our amazing board member, Haydee Karcz, will pick up your swimsuit(s) once they are screen printed and will deliver them to your swimmer at swim practice.

If you have not yet ordered a swimsuit for Swim Meets, these are the links to order. They will not be screen printed with the Piranhas Logo but that is OK. They will be the same suit as all the other swimmers. The color is Speedo Blue through most websites but also occasionally listed as Sapphire.
