Brooke Friedman Head Coach

Brooke Friedman has over ten years of competitive swimming experience and is excited to join Piranhas as a Head Coach for the 2025 season. She began swimming with Piranhas when she was 9 years old, which is when she discovered her love for the sport. Her positive experience with Piranhas led her to swim club with Paseo/Canyons and later serve as Varsity Captain of Valencia’s swim team in 2020. After graduation, she attended the University of Notre Dame where continued to swim club and specialize in sprint breaststroke and butterfly.

Outside of the pool, Brooke enjoys engaging in a wide variety of leadership roles. At Valencia, she served as president of three school organizations: Associated Student Body (ASB), National Honor Society (NHS), and California Scholarship Federation (CSF). She was also elected Student Board Member of the Hart Union School District during her senior year. At Notre Dame, she graduated magna cum laude in 2024 with a degree in Neuroscience & Behavior. She served on the Neuroscience Senior Leadership Committee and was elected as a delegate for the National Undergraduate Consortium for Science Journalism.

Brooke is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Neuroscience at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, located in New York City. Her research focuses on how genetic variants and RNA splicing dysregulation contribute to neurodegenerative disorders, specifically Alzheimer’s disease and ALS. After graduation, she hopes to continue conducting neuroscience research and teach at the college level.

Madison Cintra Head Coach

Madison Cintra has been a Piranha ever since 2017 and is excited to be the 2025 head coach! The love for Piranhas started off as a junior coach in 2021. She looked forward to helping the kids learn the strokes and being a part of their success. This is Madison’s second year of being a coach and absolutely looks forward to every single season for Piranhas. Madison loves working with little children and loves to teach little children the important skill of swimming, while practicing a nurturing environment and having a loving personality with the goal of the swimmer having fun and being safe! Madison is going to finish her last year at Valencia high school in 2026. Outside of the pool, Madison can be found Babysitting and doing private swim lessons.

Dylan Urban Assistant Coach

Dylan Urban has 7 years of swim experience and has been on the Piranhas swim team since 2019. He is excited to serve as an Assistant Coach for the 2025 season! Prior to becoming a coach, Dylan has served as a junior coach for 4 years. His favorite event is the 50 freestyle.

Dylan is a sophomore at Valencia High School. Outside of the pool Dylan can be found hiking, listening to music, or roughhousing his two beagle puppies. He plays lacrosse at Valencia High school where he trains year-round playing attack, midfield, and faceoff. He enjoys serving at his church Faith Community in Newhall. After graduation, Dylan wants to pursue a career in architecture or engineering.

Audrey Ginsburg Assistant Coach

Audrey Ginsburg has over 8 years of competitive swimming experience and is excited to join the Piranhas as a part-time Assistant Coach. Audrey has been a Piranhas since 2015. Audrey swims on Valencia High School's Varsity swim team and also currently swims for Canyons' Aquatic Club. As a member of Valencia High School's swim team, Audrey has been a league finalist and achieved CIF consideration times in the 100 yard butterfly, the 200 yard IM and the 500 yard freestyle.

Outside the pool, Audrey will be a senior next year at Valencia High School. At school, she is a member of NHS and CSF and holds board positions for the Red Cross Club and the Choir Council. She is also completing a 2 year career pathway in Education through school and volunteers in a religious school Kindergarten class at her temple.

In the future, Audrey would like to continue her education at an UC or Cal State school to study Education and Speech Pathology.

Audrey loves working with the Piranhas' swimmers and especially enjoys improving swimmers' technique.
